Doctor's Appointment Update

Well, I'm still supposed to take life easy. Unfortunately, I have to also be careful with my diet from here on out. My glucose testing that we did 2 weeks ago didn't go so well. I do not have gestational diabetes, but the numbers are close. The cutoff is 140 and my levels were at 139. So, new diet and hopefully, we won't need to worry. The bloodwork also revealed that I am badly anemic. So, I have been given Iron pills to take with everything else. This all makes me kind of nervous. I'm not much of a medicine taker when I'm not pregnant. It makes me a little nervous to be taking all these pills but in the end, hopefully they will be more of a benefit to baby.
Other than all that, baby is doing well. Appears to be a healthy size and has a good strong heartbeat. That's all that really counts in my book!

In other news, T came home from school yesterday with a bit exciting news...He made the Honor Roll!!! I'm so proud of my boy! He has always been so smart and we have pushed and pushed him to do his best in school so he could receive something like this to show him that he is as smart as we say he is! I'm so happy he finally has something tangible to keep him reminded what a bright kid he really is! B told him to plan a night of things he wants to do and it will happen. So far the plan is to go eat at Pizza Hut for dinner and to go Miniature Golfing afterward. Sounds fun to me!

Way to go T, that is awesome.

As for the 139, that really sucks. I dont know what you now have to change in your diet but I wish you luck. I use to have to take iron but that went away, it may do the same with you.

Great job T!!! That is so great!

I had to take iron with both of my kids, but that stopped after they were born. I hope diet will help your levels...its very important to keep a close eye on that!!!
