Okay, so we are in the United States, FINALLY!!! We are all exhausted but safe and sound. It has been a very crazy 2 weeks but I haven't got the presence of mind to share the whole thing and half the people who look at this thing heard it all already, anyway! So, I will just start with Friday evening and go from there! Friday, we had Stephanie and her family over to the TLF and we played games and drank all evening. It was a very nice evening and I was grateful for the one last chance to hang out with them in Spangdahlem before we left. We finally called it a night at about 1 and went to bed. Funny thing about drinking. You mix your liquors and there is no telling what interesting things you might dream that night! I drank 2 rum and pepsi mixes and 4 red bull and vodkas.....maybe that isnt mixing much, but for me.....that's alot! I had the WEIRDEST dream ever! I can only remember walking into the kitchen and finding Human sized bottles of Rum and Vodka having a drink and dancing around singing "One of these things is not like the other....." (stephanie, you will probably be the only one who gets where that came from, but hey that's assuming you werent too wasted to remember!) Anyway, of course the one time in years that I suffer a hangover is the time I have to get up and get on the plane. I woke up at about 4 and laid there till 6 trying to be still so I wouldnt vomit everywhere. That was fun! I had just fallen asleep at 5:50ish and was woken up by the doorbell. It was some of the guys from B's shop, drunk and happy wanting to wish us good luck! It was wonderful that they stopped by, however, maybe the goodbye on Friday should have been enough.....hehehehe!
Anyway, we got most of the way to the airport just fine, making awesome time. Then about 10 minutes before we should have been reaching airport, there was a MAJOR traffic jam. That really sucked! It took 30 min to make it to the end of the jam and the worst part was, it was backed up because the lanes went from 3 lanes to 1 for construction and the portion of the road that was 1 lane was less than 20 feet long! Horrible!
The flight wasnt as terrible as ones I have been through in the past. T only had one tantrum and it was resolved when I took some of his good behavior money away. We offered him 1 dollar for every hour he was good on our nine hour flight. He walked away with 7.50. Not terrible. A did excellent and walked away with 8.50. (he didnt lose the .50 till we were in customs after the flight!) The worst part of the whole experience was getting our bags. Me and boys waited just over an hour for the bags. Our 4 bags were among the last 6 bags to come out. Right as the first of our bags was coming my way, I sneezed and my nose started bleeding everywhere. Yeah, that was real fun.....So, here I am digging tissue out of pocket and trying to lug the bags off the belt and trying to keep the blood from going everywhere. And there are 2-3 gentlemen standing a few feet away, just watching. Yeah, thanks guys! No, really, I have this under control! I really wanted to punch them. And then I had T pushing one of the luggage carts and he was having a hard time controlling the stopping it. So this lady comes up and pushes her way in front of us in the checkpoint before we left baggage claim. She is in such a hurry she doesnt realize he is unable to stop the cart that is twice his size that fast so of course he bumps into her....And she gets huffy about it! Look Witch, if you weren't so busy with your all-important game of push and shove, you would have been aware of his issues and not stood in front of him! What a Jerk!
My family was very happy to see us and help us from there. We went and got B from his flight and went to dinner. We ate at this place called Jimmy's which is a really good restaurant with huge pasta bowls that no normal human can finish. A made a big deal about wanting root beer and grilled cheese sandwhich. It was actually kind of funny cause we have been in Germany so long that he doesnt really know anything about dining in the USA. Like when the waitress set the glass of water in front of him before bringing the sodas, he got really sad and quiet. So when my dad (his best friend ever) asked him what was wrong, he started crying and said "I told her I wanted Root Beer and she gave me water!" It was kind of cute. We had to explain to him that most restaurants do that here and no he didnt have to drink it! And after all that fuss, he fell asleep in my lap before the meal was ever served! Would not wake till we got to my mom's house about an hour or so later. He was awake here for about 45 min and then slept the entire night.
Overall, yesterday was hectic but okay. We haven't done much today at all. I have had 2 naps and the boys are running from one end of the house to the other with all their cousins. They are in heaven! Everyone is happy and having fun and I'm ready for nap #3.

OMG that was great! Friday night was lots of fun although Im sorry you werent feeling to swell the next day (or that night for that matter...one of these things...LOL). Just as a side note, J and I felt GGGRRREAT!
Glad the flight went well although the nose bleed part seriously sucks. All that nose blowing and dryness, I hope it gets better now that you are not stressing about getting home. Some good R&R with your family helping with the kids.
Im sure there was more I was going to say but Baby A is not in my lap screaming so take care and I cant wait to see pictures and hear all about the fun you are having at home.
That doesnt sound too bad! You give me hope for our flight in six weeks! haha The trip up sucks, but its not nearly as bad as the one I took this summer (http://reenblack.blogspot.com/2006/09/six-hour-two-hour-drive.html)!!!
Glad you are all safely there and are able to relax for a bit!!!
Lets hear about all that shopping you've been doing!
