Okay, so we have survived past 38 weeks. Yay! I have been contracting irregularly for over a week. I am over this pregnant thing. I am ready to meet my new little one we have been working so hard to grow for so long.
Our appointment today went well, if a little disappointing. I am still the same as I was last week. 2 1/2 cm and the baby has moved down a little since. This was a little frustrating with the contractions feeling stronger and happening more frequently this week. I was so sure I had at least changed some, even if I haven't been successful at going into real labor...
The light at the end of the tunnel is in sight, though. Doc said she would start calling the hospital today to set up the induction sometime close to due date. She said she wasn't sure she would be able to arrange it in advance or if she would be calling the night before with a cancellation. Well, she got a date set. April 12th, if I haven't already gone into labor, I will be at hospital at 8am to be induced. I'm praying for natural labor to take place between here and there, but I will be happy even if I have to go in for that. I am just thankful we have been able to carry the baby so much longer than we did the boys and it gives me that much more confidence that baby will be healthy and happy and maybe even go home with us! That will be a new experience for B and I. We have never actually left hospital with the baby. We had a week with each of them to adjust to life before bringing them home. This will definitely be an interesting thing!

i am so glad to have read this! i have a stinkin' training class tomorrow (8-5) but i will be checking the blog to see if i hear any good news!!
Okay, it is 5:30 am on the 13th when I am writing this, do we have a new little Ridout to add to the clan?
