Flying

So, B came home today. Life shall return to normal soon. Not this week of course, he goes straight to night shifts tomorrow for a few days. Ugghh....I just thought I would spend a minute complaining about the way flights work in the states. The flight he was given had 2 stops. One leg of the trip was seriously a flight from Tucson to Phoenix, and the other way around on return flight. Wow, what a waste of time and jet fuel....it takes about 1 1/2 to drive the distance from Tucson to Phoenix. It takes less time to drive it than it does to check in, get settled, get in the air, land, and get off plane.....What the heck is up with that? Guess I just don't understand the need for that. I can understand having flights to Tucson and to Phoenix, just not having flights to and from the two places.....Someone explain the brilliance behind this!!! B landed in Phoenix for a 2 hour layover before they flew him the rest of way. I would have gone to get him there but I have no clue where the airport is or any kind of decent sense of direction....lol!
