Back to Bedrest :(

Okay, so we took a trip to Labor and Delivery today. This was not on my list of things to do...at least not as a patient. Everything is fine now. I woke up feeling gross with some cramping that seemed pretty regular at about 5-10 min apart. Call it insanity or denial, whichever, but I got A on the bus before worrying about arranging a trip to be seen. T was home sick today with a cold he has been fighting since Saturday. So after getting him to the neighbors house, I drove to base where B and I left the van and drove to hospital. The result of 2 hours or so of being on monitor and being tested and poked and prodded....I have a UTI. Ugghh....felt kind of silly for thinking that the pain was contractions but was glad nonetheless for having gotten the infection discovered and on it's way to being cured.
This kid is VERY opinionated, apparently. I know I have said it before but wow....#3 does NOT like probes pushing in on the limited space. Baby spent the ENTIRE time kicking and rolling over the monitor. They did do another ultrasound (where baby still denied us a good peek at parts...) and the entire time Baby spent kicking the probe where ever she placed it. The nurse was attempting to measure the level of amniotic fluid in there and had to repeat the measurements more than once because child would not stop moving! People didn't believe me that I feel like the child has soo much energy, it's being sapped from me! I feel tired just feeling this little one go go go all the time! Lol...silly kid!

Overall, the news is good. The only other thing to report is that another cause for some of the discomfort and issues is the baby is laying diagonal (she called it Transverse) in there. Head is up in my ribs on the left and feet are down in my hip on the right...Yes, I could attest to this being the least comfortable spot for feet..... This isn't going to be a problem, though....baby still has plenty of time left to turn and put head where it belongs. :) Yay for healthy outcomes!

So, if things are ok, why are you on bedrest??? Thats not fun at all. At least little one is very active so you know he/she is healthy!!!
