So, I know I have slacked on the posts. I was looking for my camera cord so I could post some pics of A's concert and things. I will give a rundown of last weeks events.
A had a Winter Concert that he did awesome at. They put him in the back, for reasons unknown to me....he is like the shortest kid in 1st grade almost! So, while we got a few good pics, not the greatest cause of his location. He was so funny! He only sang through part of it and when he was doing the hand motions to Feliz Navidad, he looked more like he was trying to punch the kid next to him than like he was trying to roll his hands. Yikes! He invented his own little move to go at the end of the chorus that looked like he was doing a 70's dive dance....maybe that is why they put him in the back, save audience from seeing this very silly move!
T has spent last few weeks finishing up his soccer season and working really hard in school. They took this big reading test and he scored one of the 2 highest scores in the class!!! Him and another child tied for best at 98%!!! I was so proud of my little reader! I took him to dinner and treated him nice for it!
He was awarded a trophy after Saturday's tournament. The tournament would be a great topic if I wasn't so sore about it. There is this team. They play dirty. No one seems to care. That's the gist of it. T's team played them 3 times this season. T's team lost the first game. So, when 2nd time came, this team came on the field and spent the whole game teasing and taunting our team about how they whooped our butts once and they are going to do it again....even after being reported and "supposedly" talked to. So, no one was real happy to hear that this would be the team we would face first in tournament. Sure enough, they played dirty again. This time they cried every time the ball came into contact with them...swearing they had been kicked. There was one little kid that kept "accidentally" walking in front of our team members and tripping them or getting hurt and then insisting our team did it. Again, no one of authority (beyond our coach) seemed to see the issue. At one point their team did an illegal throw in and scored off it. Well, ref called it but allowed them to keep the point. That was the deciding point in the end. We lost by one. There were some VERY angry children and parents on the field that day! Coach promised to give the persons in charge a few earfuls and let us know, but the fact is the day is done and our team missed out on the rest of the games. (there were only 3 games in all so if you lost one, you were out)
Anyway, on to other news. We had another doctor appointment on this past Thursday. Baby is doing well. We definitely have a stubborn child growing though. Every time doc found heartbeat, baby would flip around and kick probe. So we got all of about 3 heartbeats and none of them in a row. Hehehe....well, the child does belong to B and I so guess there isn't much question as to where this attitude comes from! :) Doc says everything looks great with baby and we will see her again in January. This past Saturday, I marked 5 months!!! Only 4 more to go!!! I'm so excited and happy to be doing well. I've been a little impatient last few weeks. I'm so ready to hold this beautiful child and know what it is that I seriously just want to be done being pregnant! I know....I asked to be pregnant, but I only asked to be pregnant in order to get to the point of holding our baby.. :)
On Saturday we also celebrated 8 great years in the military! I'm so proud of my husband! I don't know what we would have done if he had not stepped up and joined the military to take care of us when it seemed we would drown in all the issues surrounding us. We have always known that we didn't want to survive at the cost of either of our parents and by him joining the military, we have made it much further than I think we ever would have. Although we did lean on family for some of the way, I'm proud of our independence and the way things have turned out. I know it hasn't been easy for him to stay in at points, especially when he was in Iraq and things were going on around him and the boys just wanted him home. I will never be able to say how grateful I am!!!
So, now that I have granted the wishes of some....and now they are saying "geez, end it already!!!", I will. It's late and I know I'm rambling!

Good post. Still hopeing you post pictures of the boys soon. A's show would be hilarious to see. Poor T, that blows when a team plays dirty. Glad to hear #3 is doing well. Congrats on 8 years in the military, its not all that bad is it?
Only 5 days till Christmas...the madness is overwhelming me!
LOL Glad his concert went well, I highly doubt they put him in the back on purpose. Usually they line up then get onto the bleachers in whatever order they walk in.
Congrats to T on his test! Sorry to hear about the other team...that blows!
Merry Christmas to you! Hope you have a great week ahead!
